Flowering Crab Tree

We had a week of glorious weather and now it's dark and gloomy again with lots of rain.  I understand that spring means rain, but I'm so anxious for good gardening weather to arrive.  And more rain means that the weeds are growing too, and by the looks of it, at an alarming rate.

There was one good thing to come out of it all.  This flowering crab tree was planted only two years ago as a small twig.  It's still not very big but look what it managed to produce this year.  I'm thrilled.

Crabapples are a spring favorite for me, especially the dark pink ones at my house. They are just breathtaking! I'm sure by now you've had more pleasing spring weather, enjoy!

Actually, Robin, all last week was cold and rainy. Last night it dipped to 36 degrees! Most unusual for this time of year. But the predictions for this week is looking up. Sunny with high 70s and low 80s -- perfect growing weather.
