Veterans Day 2012

My dad was a World War II hero.  He served in three of the four major battles in Europe and received an individual  bronze star for bravery plus many other ribbons.

My husband is a Vietnam Era Vet, he served  in the Navy from 1966-1970. He had a top secret cryptographic clearance relaying important messages from Washington D.C. to Vietnam.  He served in Taiwan and Iceland.

My brother was in the Air Force, serving in California, working on planes going to Viet Nam, and my brothers-in law were both in the Navy; one was a lifer, retiring after 20 years served.
.
My great great grandfather served in the Civil War and was also a hero.  I found his story in a book.

I am in awe of the men in my life who have served to keep me free. My heart swells with pride. Thank you to all of our Vets, but especially my own!
