The Grove - A New Website for Nature Lovers

Michigan, my Michigan -- how I love it, but not the weather lately! We just can't seem to warm up and get into spring. The good news is that nothing will stop it, and it will arrive on it's own good time! In the meantime, I'd like to tell you about a new online nature lovers community that was introduced to me. It's called simply, The Grove. The Grove is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to encourage people to plant trees in their yards, neighborhoods, and communities, in order to protect the tree canopy in America. It's a wonderful web site where you can go to meet and chat with other nature lovers, like yourselves. You can share your landscaping and gardening stories, photos, and glean much expertise from certified arborists and staff members from state and national agencies; and they are always available to answer your questions. Joining this group is free and easy -- I've already done it -- and you can also sign up for the state you live in and get more detailed insight to your particular area and the trees that grow well there. I'd love to see my Michigan blogging friends at Michigan Grove. I hope you'll take a minute to check this out; you can find me listed there as Jane Marie. After stopping by The Grove, I'd appreciate it if you'd come back and give me your feedback. May Spring come soon and may we have many happy planting days ahead! Don't forget to visit An Herbal Bedfellow for healthy recipes made with herbs.

Planting trees is a great idea. Here in England farmers are encouraged to plant whole swaiths of trees.
