Autumnal Equinox

On this day, September 22, 2010 at 11:09 p.m. ET, summer is officially over and the Fall season begins. I love the quote above because I love to breathe the air ( smell the burning applewood fires ) , drink the drink (apple cider and mulled wines), taste the fruit (peaches, pears, apples), and resign myself to the influences ( the many wonderful things that I have planned to experience this time of year.) Sometimes, though, I forget I should love each season that I am living in. I usually spend way too much time mourning the loss of summer and dreading the coming winter. This year I will rejoice in Autumn. I'll dance in the falling leaves and lift my face to the fresh rain. How will you handle the Autumnal Equinox?

Counting my blessings of each day. Making things, good friends & drinking drinks while eating good food. Enjoying the season as it unfolds. But I agree I don't look forward to winter coming either. However that's when I spend most my time inside & making things.

My garden is still dancin' in the Summer sun, but things can change rather quickly around here.
