Birders Giveaway - Number Two

And here is Giveaway Number Two : A Birdscapes Garden Sip & Seed from Perky Pet!
This wonderful feeder has two tubes; one for water and one for seed. It works perfectly if you don't have an area for a birdbath but still want to offer your feathered friends something to drink. The tubes are interchangeable so when you remove them for filling and cleaning, there's no problem trying to decide which one goes where.
A tube can hold either 1.5 lb. of seed or 27 oz. of water.
So you decide -- a tube of seed and a tube of water, or two tubes of seed, or maybe two tubes of water. The double water feature is a good idea for those birds that are not seed eaters. Maybe you can draw them a little closer to the window for ease in your birdwatching.
Both of these tubes can be mounted on the single scrollwork copper hanger by simply running the hook on the curly scroll. Easy as pie.

Visit my favorite place at Birdfeeders.com, the Wild Bird Library. You might learn something new.

Check out this video for a look at the glass and copper version of the Sip & Seed.
!

We have a wonderful diverse group of birds on our farm. Yesterday I saw a great blue heron, chickadees, goldfinches, red wing blackbird, cardinals, nuthatches, red bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, pilleated woodpeckers, cowbird, several varieties of sparrows, house and purple finches, a KY warbler, robins, crows, and a wild turkey! So you can see, bird feeders come in handy here :)

While I am very lucky with the numbers of birds at my feeders I am feeling doubly blessed this year. I live on a fairly good sized river and all winter there have been eagles fishing every day! Its only across the street and no more than 200 feet from my front window! I'm especially lucky that they chose a stand of pine to sit in which is easily visible for me. Most days I can count 10 of them at once. Its an awesome sight to see them swoop down, grab lunch and land to dine! What a beautiful sight! Thanks for letting me share!

I went outside to have a baby Robin run up to me (she couldn't fly yet) peeping. I let it be, hoping it's parents would find it.Nearing dark it was still asking for help.I fed her some peeled grapes, and tucked her up in a basket, for the night. That August we had been having bad storms, and the Robins had left, because I didn't see another one until the winter Robins arrived in October. So she was with me till then. Amazing! God created her with knowing of what she needed to do (including asking me for help)with no example to learn by!I supplemented her food with a cornbread/peanut butter/baby cereal mixture, and fruit.I was sad,and joyful when she joined the flock.Somehow, ever since, the Robins are my friends, and come to eat the cornbread. Right now if I walk outside,I have 10 that will come right up to me for food! Some try to chase others, but they all abide!Such a gift they are, I adore them!

I live in an apartment and right off my deck are a large & small tree. A family of Squirrels lives there and we feed them leftovers everyday. We also have a Woodpecker with a Red Head that comes everyday. Two Bluebirds and Two RedBirds everyday. Probably because we put Birdseed on the ground because we don't have a bird feeder. There are numerous other birds that come too...I would love to have this feeder to hang from my deck. So grateful for this offer.
