Birders Giveaway - Number One

Here we go !!! Birders Giveaway - Number One begins today!

The folks at Birdfeeders.com know how much you love to have birds in your garden and hummingbirds are a real favorite! Those little guys can entertain us for hours.

My friends at Birdfeeders.com are offering a Perky Pet Magnolia Push-Pull Hummingbird Feeder for our first day of giveaways. This is a Top Fill-No Spill feeder that holds up to 16 oz. of nectar. As part of the giveaway you will also receive an 8 oz. package of Instant Nectar Concentrate and a Cleaning Mop to keep your feeder free of harmful molds and residues.

Watch this cute video to see how it actually works.

If you're just itching to win, follow these simple instructions!

1. Leave a comment after visiting the Birdfeeders.com web site, about what your favorite Hummingbird product is or leave a story about the hummers that come to your yard.

2. For a second chance to win, sign up as an e-mail subscriber with Feedburner, Feed Blitz, or become a Google Follower (see sidebar.) Then leave a second comment telling me you have subscribed or that you are already a subscriber.
If you subscribe in more than one way, leave a separate comment for each.

3. For a third chance to win, blog or Tweet about this contest with a link here, then come back and leave another comment telling me about it.

4. For a fourth chance to win, subscribe to the Birdfeeders.com E-Newsletter, then come back and tell me that you have done that.

5. If you're not a blogger, be sure to leave your contact e-mail address like this to avoid spammers: pianananna(at)gmail(dot)com. If I don't have a way to reach you or you don't respond in three days, your name will be disqualified, and I will choose again, picking my favorite answer.

Good Luck!!

Winners will be chosen by random.org.
Email addresses will not be shared with any third parties.

What a great feeder for the hummers. It would be a great addition to my yard! I've just realized that I've been feeding hummingbirds for close to 50 years! Holy! I wonder how many gallons of sugar/water I've boiled? LOL My grand mother got me started in the 1950's and I've awaited their arrival every year since! I have noticed them arriving earlier though. Gram always said that here in Maine we put out feeders from Memorial Day to Labor Day and that was true until a couple years ago. They actually have shown up by mid May outside my windows where the feeders always hang. It sent me scrambling to get feeders filled! This year I'm changing to Mother's Day to Labor Day! Thanks for the reminder!

Every summer, we used to have a wreath that hung on our door that had fake flowers on it (I know it's tacky). Every summer we would have a hummingbird come to try to feed from it. We could even get really close to it. Now I live in a place where I have tons of real flowers and I have only seen a humingbird once here.

I love the hummers. When we were having our log home built,we had 19 big burly log builders from Montana. When the hummers would show up you should have seen these guys stop and watch these tiny little birds. It was precious. I put a feeder up in the trees for the birds and the guys.LOL. I would love to win a new feeder. That one looks great. Easy to fill!! I am a follower.Google.
By the way I enjoyed your new blog. I'll put in a word with the man above just for you.LOL Sharon

We usually have 3 hummingbirds that visit us. Last year when my daughter was 3 she thought they were bees and was scared of them. I'm hoping that now she is 4 she will understand what they are and learn to appreciate them.

I love hummingbirds. I have several feeders out. And if I let them get empty for some reason, when I'm out working in the yard, the hummingbirds will come fly and flit around in my face like they're trying to tell me, I need to get them their food and won't leave me alone until I take the feeder down, go inside, clean it, refill it and bring it back outside. They're just a little pushy. :)

We would love this pretty feeder to give a hummer a drink! We aldso grow bee balm, which it loves, and the plant spreads so we can share some shoots with friends and neighbors...giving the little
hummingbirds more fun yards to visit!

We get a great bunch of ruby-throated hummingbirds at our feeders. They are very bold and will hover in front of the kitchen window, looking in if we haven't gotten the feeders filled and out when they arrive in the spring! How smart is that? :)

I was standing on the back porch one day last summer, just taking a brief break from cooking. I was looking at some potted petunias when all of a sudden, a hummer streaked in and started feeding from it. It fed from several flowers before flying away. Since I was just two feet from the planter, it was the best view I've ever had of a hummer. asthenight at gmail dot com

Once in a while I'm lucky enough to have a hummer bathe itself in the spray from the hose while I'm watering the garden (especially where the patch of red monarda/bee balm grows). It's the funniest thing to watch! They really seem to enjoy their bath :)
