Giving Essence Lip Balm Giveaway

I'm a lip balm junkie. Okay I've said it out loud. I can't go anywhere without a tin, stick, or tube of lip balm. I have several in the house at all times in every room, in my purse, and in the glove compartment of the car.

One World-One Heart Giveaway

I'm taking part in the One World-One Heart Giveaway sponsored by Lisa at A Whimsical Bohemian.
And guess what? That means some good things could be coming your way.
The idea is to bring bloggers from around the world together by giving away something special. This giveaway starts today, January 19th and runs until February 12th when I will draw my winner along with all other participants.
My giveaway is a brand new quilt pattern called "A Red Hat for All My Friends." Of course you could use any colors if you're not in a Red Hat Society, or you can just use the hat, shoes, and gloves patterns separately in another quilt of your choice.

House for Sale, Jamestown Michigan

As you can see by my new header, I'm tired of winter now that Christmas has passed. But the good news (or bad news, however you want to look at it)is that we finally have our house listed and it is ready to sell. We've sold lots of furniture since Christmas. The house is definitely looking "thinner," and as I told my husband, it must have lifted up off the ground at least a foot with all of that extra weight gone.

We have found a beautiful log home on a lake that we are very interested in but we can't make an offer until this one sells. In today's market, it's a real shot in the dark that we will get it, but we'll never know unless we try.

There's room for a garden, much smaller, of course, and I'll keep antiques around for sure. I think I'll go to the more primitive area this time.

Soon I may be able to post pictures of a new house and in the spring I could be starting a new garden! I'm thinking positively. That's my New Year's resolution, and this is one resolution I intend to keep!
