Daylily Peak

It's my first post for Outdoor Wednesday! See Sidebar to take part.

My daylilies are at peak! I tried so hard to distance myself from them because I know soon this garden will belong to someone else. It's impossible not to love them and baby them as I have for years. The garden is gorgeous even after dividing every plant that I could and transplanting them to a new location. And now, they are blooming their little hearts out (do daylilies have hearts? In my estimation, they sure do!)

The following pictures are four that I did not post last year because I planted them after blooming season. Two I saw in the daylily field where I bought them, and two my friend Lamb gave to me. This is their first blooming in my garden.

Jane Marie! They are very lovely. I am fascniated by the variety of daylilies.

You ought consider hooking up with Outdoor Wednesday at Susan's blog when she puts that up tonight. It's perfect for an Outdoor Wednesday post. I've got a link on my blog to hers.

Jane Marie!
What a beautiful resthaven and sactuary you have built there. I am sure all of the birds consider if coming to a resort. It is so absolutely breath taking. You just don't know what to look at first. I have signed up to follow your blog. I have to come back. Please stop by and say hi. I would love to have you follow my blog as well. Country hugs, Sherry

It is so neat that you can remember the names of each lily plant. Your photographs do show your passion for the flower. Nice job!

What a beautiful little pond with the daylillies enhancing the beauty. I could sit in the shade by your pond and read a book for hours.

Daylilies are so beautiful! Your garden is great! It will be hard to leave all that behind. We moved two years ago and I left a great garden at my old house, but it is a challenge to start over. It was like having a blank slate. Though it was overwhelming, I loved creating new gardens that I just didn't have room for there. The hardest part is going by my old house and seeing that the gardens are just not being kept up at all. (my poor babies!) Sounds like you won't have to do that. Good Luck!
