I love garden gloves, like most of you do, but I'm not crazy over the cheap cotton ones. I own some because they have been given to me and I don't like them to go to waste so I use them for my dirtiest jobs. But I have a passion for a good quality glove and then I usually don't like to wear them because I don't want to ruin them.
At the moment I first put my Ethel Gloves on, I let out a sigh. It was almost as good as chocolate. They "fit like a glove" with their four-way stretch. Very flexible and lightweight. I hardly knew they were on. With the rubberized grip on the palm and the re-inforced fingertips, they should last a long time.
So I got brave and gave my new gloves a test run by picking up all of the twigs and branches, some were pretty nasty with wet decay and mosses. They were wonderful. I never once had that feeling that I had to rip them off like I usually do. Although I regretted that they now have dirty palms (sniff),

UNTIL I discovered that they are machine washable.
(I'm sorry, I was so excited, that I forgot to take a picture of them brand new, clean and pretty.)
These gloves are here to stay, and I'm sure I won't hesitate to wear them again. Now, let's pray for good weather so I can really get down and dirty.
I found this website helpful in choosing the correct size for me.
If you're interested in purchasing some of these gloves, Ethel Gloves is offering a 10% discount just for my readers. All you have to do is type in the word THYME in the discount code field at checkout. This offer is good through April 3rd!

Mummy deserve these, she started gardening school this year at the age of 40 and it's a big thing to decide you want a new career at that age, if you've been doing another work your whole life. It's very brave! So she needs a little love from us to know we support her studies :-)
The Expression pattern is nice!
I'd give these to my mom. She does a lot of gardening and is always in need of some new gloves. Jubilee is my favorite.
I love the great things you bring to my attention here on your blog! I tend to go through my garden gloves a lot (since I garden in soil that is made up of lots of river rocks--ahh the joys of living on the river!) But these gloves look like they could give my hands some nice protection and make me feel indulgent while I'm at it! I've thought long and hard about it...but it comes down to Gala being me fave.
Thanks again for the heads up to another great item to garden with!
Oh...and by the way I wrote you a little thank you note on my blog today from being a part of One World One Heart this year. ;)

I need to take better care of my hands.
I would love the Jubilee gloves...look as pretty as the flowers!
Put me in the mix for a pair of jubilee, size M (but I also love the expression ones, and all the others!). My nicer, thicker gardening gloves aren't comfy. And the more comfy thinner ones don't last at all. And all of them end up with dirt and mulch down in the fingers. Help! :)
