I have decided to giveaway a book called "A Reader's Journal." It's just right for keeping track of the books you've read and your thoughts about each one. You can also make notes on who you've recommended the book to and who you've loaned it to.
So if this journal interests you, here's all you have to do:
1. Leave a comment about why you'd like this journal.
2. For a second chance to win, sign up as an e-mail subscriber with Feedburner or become a Google Follower (see sidebar.) Then leave a second comment telling me you have subscribed or that you are already a subscriber.
3. If you're not a blogger, be sure to leave your contact e-mail address like this to avoid spammers: pianananna(at)gmail(dot)com. If I don't have a way to reach you or you don't respond in three days, your name will be disqualified, and I will choose again, picking my favorite answer.
This contest ends on Friday, January 30, 2009. at noon EST. Good Luck!

What a great idea, I have always loved to read.
There are many times when I am reading more than one book at a time, and I forget some of the details later. A book journal would definitely help, if I was discussing a book with a friend.
By the way? Have you read a Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society? I just finished it, and what a delightful book that is. I can highly recommend it to anyone who loves to read.

I've kept journals for the past 30 years but have never thought of keeping a comment list of the books I read even though I'm an omniverous reader, especially now that I'm retired. This book journal would be perfect for me.
Thanks for offering it as a prize.
I think I'd be more likely to write in a journal as nice as this one than a legal pad or memo pad.
Oh I love this.. giveaway! I would love to keep track of what I read.. and what I thought.

I read books ALL THE TIME...so much that sometimes someone will talk about a book and I recognize the name of it but can't remember exactly what its about. If I win this journal, I'd be able to jot down notes about the books and keep them for future references.
Thanks for the opportunity!

I could really use this!! I try to keep track of the books I have read (by numerous means!) but its never something convenient like this book. I started a blog about it (http://bookssince2009.blogspot.com) but Im even behind on that! I think a book would work much better. (I follow you too!)

I read constantly. I often reread books and sometimes I have different reactions to a book when I am at a different place in my life. It would be interesting to keep track and see what the differences are.
i read about a book a day, and have thought for ages now that i would love to keep track of what i read in a year - just to see a list would be great!
I have been saying for years that I would start keeping track of and writing notes about books I read and now I would actually do it! I never seem to have the time to go out and buy a journal like this.

I must also tell you. This is the first site I've ever been to that has auto play music that it's desirable; not offensive. Beautiful.
This is fantastic. I haven't seen one of these journals before. I used to journal what books I had read and reviewed them when I was in school. I read some of those books again today.
I love to read.
Thanks for the terrific giveaway.

Oh i would love this beacause I want to give this to my Grandma. My grandma keeps track of all her romance novels on a regular notebook and this is a fancy one that would be cool to give her. Thanks, Godesseablu@msn.com
I would like this because I'm heading up my first Book Club in my church in a couple of months!
Actually, I would like this journal to keep track of the books I INTEND to read! Now I jot down notes "wherever" when I come across a title or author I'd like to get to know, and the scraps of paper never make it out the door with me to the book store or library. If I had my little journal along, I'd always be prepared to seek out the next great read! Thanks for the giveaway.

I have had a journal for as long as I can recall, but I have never had a reading journal. I would LOVE this! I read a lot and I review a lot. This would really help with that! Thanks for the giveaway!

You're so cute! I'll forgo this giveaway as I am HORRID at journaling (except on my blog). Just wanted to check in and say hi!
The cat on your journal reminds me of two Tuxedo cats, Shadow and Chase, that I lost one year apart. Shadow was 17 and Chase was only 6.
I still miss them. I would love to write my thoughts in such a book!!
