I always go through the same emotions every year at this time. You'd think I'd be used to it by now.
First is the planning stage, then the panic stage, then I get down to business and solve it all, and then there is a sense of a job well done, followed by peace. I like the last one the best. I don't feel enough peace in my life throughout the year. I've already reached the job-well-done stage; I'm ahead of the game this year. Peace will come soon when I realize it's too late to add any last minute shopping, too late for last minute cleaning, and too late for last minute cooking. Then I give up, sit back, and enjoy the season. Peace (sigh). It feels soooo good.
I am thankful for my faith which teaches me how to achieve peace, even though I often forget to practice what I know. I wish for all of you Peace. Peace at your job, peace with your family, peace around the world. My God grant you Peace with the arrival of his newborn Son.
I will give you peace and quietness. I Chronicles 16:11

Too often I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, too. It's good to sit back and remember what it's all about.
Your home looks Christmas-card perfect, Jane Marie. May you have a peaceful and blessed Christmas.
Your home truly does look like a lovely, peaceful retreat! Most inviting, Jane Marie.
Oh, I really love your calm peaceful Christmas-lit home. And it sounds like you have a satisfied peace also. I am still in the last days of getting finished; I started a little too late this year. I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you Jane Marie for the heartfelt wishes! Just what was needed today! Your house has a Christmas cozy and warm feel to it! Happy Christmas.

P.S. Love that picture of the home. Gorgeous!
I am still working on it. Your post is very calming. Thanks.
I, too, love the coziness of your home. But after it is sold and you are looking out at the lake in your new home, won't that make you calm and relaxed, too?
