My Giant Hibiscus Crop

These plants are the back border to my herb garden. They are having a fantastic year. It sort of looked to me like a crop of hibiscus growing there. Just looking at it lifted my spirits immensely today. I thought it might do the same for you.

Jane Marie, those are just fabulous! I like the pink one especially. Mine are doing well this year, too. I've got 'Plum Crazy' and 'Fireball' and they seem much bigger and more floriferous than in the past. Must be a good year for them!

So gorgeous Jane Marie! I've thought about trying them in the sunnier spot in my garden, still only part sun at best. I'm rapidly running out of space there though.

First of all, how do you do, Jane Marie and thank you for visiting me at Thatchwick on Thankful Thursday. I loved your Thursday entry - never thought about being grateful for all the names I have. In South Africa we also have a hibiscus in many different colours but it is a large shrub, almost a tree. I will take a photo and post it. Must look up the Latin name in my gardening book and let you know. Have a lovely Sunday. Eleanor

Beautiful!

I am afraid my hibiscus is not flowering as much as it usually does. It's about 5 years old and its siblings have all died, so maybe this is my last summer with it.

I guess I will just have to enjoy yours!

Absolutely gorgeous! I have only the red ones. The Japanese beetles ate my pink ones. Oh well, there is always next year.

Somewhat ironic, Jane Marie, how these 'giants', some of the last summer blooms, shout to say goodbye. A lovely post, dear Michigan garden friend!

Those are beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I'll pass on that link to my husband. Cars once a year are plenty for me :-)

I have to show this picture to my 10-year-old. He is a hardy hibiscus collector and will just love it. Of course he does not have the red one, so the hunt will be on.
