It's a New Day at the Ball!

It's a new day and everyone is getting an early start for the ongoing festivities. It seems to be the busiest day yet! I hope you can stay with me long enough to see all of our guests. I'd better get started. They are coming in quickly now!

Here's Mauna Loa. She traveled all the way from Hawaii. She's wearing the bright colors from her native island. Fantastic!!

Happy Journey had a good trip. She's always so much fun to be around. Her sparkling personality is contagious.

Well now, this is a sad story. This guest is an orphan; she doesn't know her true parentage. She was raised by Anne so she's taken on the name of Anne's Red. Maybe someday we'll be able to find her biological parents.
In the beginning, I have to admit to being a bit shallow, and only invited thoroughbred beauties to the party. Since then, I have become a little more tolerant of those who don't have a true name. I'm sorry if I have previously hurt anyone's feelings. So, as long as you are "pretty," you can attend. I think that's a better policy. I feel better now that I'm no longer so "shallow."

Time Together always comes to the ball as a gentle reminder that it is important to spend time with loved ones. She says we should always look around at the beauty in the garden and be thankful for what we have. A good message for us all.

Well, Velvet & Gold really knows what this party is all about. She came dressed in her finest. Luxurious fabric and jewels.

Pantaloons is still young and not quite up to wearing the fine gowns that the other ladies have on. She's still in her early teens. One day she'll grow to be a beautiful young lady.

Mary Todd is a neighborhood friend to all. She's always there when you need her. She's wearing her favorite color, a cheerful yellow!

Tom Wise lives next door to Mary so he accompanied her today. Do you think there is something going on?

Oh, oh. Barbara Mitchell has been eyeing Tom & Mary. I think she had a crush on Tom herself.

Bama Bound must have made a wrong turn. I don't think he intended to come to the ball. He's still standing next to the wagon wheel wondering what to do. I should go and invite him in.

Spacecoast Gator Eye is one of my newer acquaintances. He's come all the way from Florida through the swamps just to get here. He's managed to remain perfectly groomed, even in the heat. Thank you for coming, Spacecoast.

The next guest to walk the red carpet to the garden gates is Strutter's Ball. He is definitely in the right place. He's practically a pro at attending parties.

And last but not least, is Country Melody. The entertainment will take a turn this evening. Later tonight, in one area of the pavilion, there will be a real barn dance, and I'm sure Country will have a song or two to share.

Well folks, that's it's for today. Maybe later I can get you a peek inside. We'll talk soon. This is Jane Marie form Serendipity Garden.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. This is my "peak" week but there is soooo much more to come. I hope you don't get bored.
The test will be if I can keep up the party.!

Not a chance of boring me with day lily photos. Your lilies are gorgeous, and your photos excellent. Thanks for sharing the 'ball' activities with us.
