It Rained at the Ball!

Jane Marie here again, bright and early this morning.
Yes, it rained again at the ball. It seems that most of the guests are doing fine. Some got a little soggy and were unable to change their clothing this morning. But for the most part, all are still enjoying themselves and we will be able to enjoy them also. Most of the guests won't arrive until 10:00 this morning or later but we'll get a start with some the early risers.

Robespierre is famous for leading the French Revolution. He is a very formidable figure.

Little Rainbow is the darling of the crowd. She brings happiness and joy to everyone.

Mephistopheles is only here to cause trouble. If I had known what kind of character he was, I would never let him in. He is handsome, but he uses that as his charm to lead all of the others straight to Hell.

Allspice Spice is a hot little number and she knows it!!

Now, who let the children in? I told Raspberry Pixie last year that she was too small to attend our gathering!

This little darling was politely asked to leave after it was discovered that she was underage and had no identification on her. She spent the rest of the evening watching from the fence!!!

Even with the rain, I did get a chance to snap some photos of the whirling and twirling that was going on inside last evening and this morning. I hope I don't get in trouble for releasing these pictures. Daylilies' truly value their privacy while at the cotillion. You won't tell, will you?

The Main Ballroom: Go ahead and take a closer look.

That's it for today. We'll give the party goers a chance to get cleaned up and rest. There's lots more to see, so I hope you can come back again.
I'm Jane Marie at the Serendipity Garden Cotillion.

Oh. My. Goodness! Your 'main ballroom' is day lily heaven -- and heaven for day lily admirers! What a lovely, lovely garden you have! Thanks for sharing these photos.

Your gardens look like a dream to just stroll through. I am enchanted beyond words.

I have to say that the peach and burgundy toned lilies find a special place in my aesthetic. Don't know why... but I love them.

I envy your spacious ball room. I think by comparison I have only a drawing room and music room (or something like that).

I love the little minis you have blooming now. I've seen Raspberry Pixie, but I don't think I have it. Yet. :)

I've been enjoying seeing all the guests in their finery, but nothing compares to seeing all of them together in the ballroom.
I was wondering how you were going to fit them all in! Your garden is breathtaking.
