Daylilies, New Every Day

This is Jane Marie coming to you from the sunny Serendipity Gardens. Someone new is arriving everyday now. It's been a constant flurry of activity as soon as the weather cleared up.

Daring Deception is not too well liked by some of the others. Although she is amazingly beautiful you never quite know where you stand with her.

Byzantine Emperor is a fine example of an old world ruler. He's wearing the royal purple that has been saved for those of his rank for hundreds of years.

Seeing Double had a head start on the cocktails, or perhaps she just needs some new glasses.

Every woman at the ball wishes she had a Fabulous Face. This lovely lady has just that!

Kwanzo is an old timer. He was one of the first daylilies invited to live at Serendipity Gardens. He's been a great building block and I have always appreciated him. After all this time he still gets his share of oohs and aahs.

Well, those are the arrivals for today. Tomorrow I will be visitng another ball in a neighboring town. Perhaps I can persuade a few of my new found friends to come home with me and join the festivities. Either way I'll be sure to show you the way the other half lives. I hope you'll join us then.

Just beautiful Jane Marie! Daring Deception will always be one of my favorites. It's the first daylily that I learned to hybridize with three years ago, so it will always have a special place in my garden.

It's always fun to stop by and check out the new blooms. Looks like it's a quiet day at the Cotillion today. Does this mean you are going daylily shopping tomorrow? That's always fun, too. ;-)

Cindy, I'm glad you are enjoying to party.
Chey, I wish I had the time to learn to hybridize and create new daylilies like you have. It must be very satisfying.
Karen, yes, I'm going to spend some hard earned cash. I already have a few in mind. The garden I had planned to go to on Saturday was rained on. Today it will be a different place and they don't carry the same plants. It's a whole different list. So we'll see what I end up with. Shall I buy from my heart or my head? My heart usually wins out.
