Skywatch Friday #8 -- Honeysuckle Heaven

This honeysuckle vine escaped the trellis and is growing above the garage roof. It looks like it is reaching for Heaven.

I decided to quickly add this in. I realize that some of you don't know what a honeysuckle vine is. This one is a little past prime. It's usually solid yellow with blossoms when at peak. The hummingbirds love it.

For more Skywatch photos go to Wigger's World.

After two years my honeysuckle vine is alive and even has some small blooms but is nowhere near as robust as your vine reaching for the sky. Nice photo too.

I walked by a cottage covered in this last week.. the flowers were just starting to bloom.. I must remember to get up there and get a shot of it.
Thank you for joining in with Sky Watch this week and helping to make it special.

I, too, think that's a great photo. Mine had gotten so top heavy and scraggly looking, I cut it back to the ground last fall.(What a job!) It is sowy coming back to life and climbing the pole and ooking so much nicer.

Lovely first photo with the honeysuckle against the sky! Your honeysuckle vine looks very healthy; it should be perfuming the air for some distance around.

What a nice picture of the sky as the backdrop for such a beautiful
flower. Too bad a cute little hummer isn't buzzing around. Thanks for sharing this picture with us on this Skywatch Friday.

The music on your blog was the same as the TV downstairs (my husband and son are watching) when I pulled up your blog. It was surreal.

I like your honeysuckle vine with the yellow flowers. Mine is a little different and is just coming into bloom now.

I have a honeysuckle vine too but it doesn't smell does yours? I always thought they were suppose too.
Mine needs to really be moved in the sun more maybe it would do better.
