Do you have a green thumb? I think you must if you're reading garden blogs.
People always say to me, "I wish I could grow a garden like yours but I just don't have a green thumb."

I recently came across a quote that I like a lot. It explains the difference between you and me and those who only wish for a garden. Beth Weidner said, "The only thing different about having a green thumb is that you don't get discouraged by failure. When something doesn't work, you try again."
If you're like me, there have been a lot of failures in past years. I don't make quite as many mistakes now, but it still happens. I've spent a lot of money on plants only to find they weren't right for my light conditions or soil. Just when I learned all about my yard, I moved and had to start all over again. I've been in one place long enough this time that it is all starting to come together and boy does it feel good!
Here are a few of my successes in the front garden.

Round Table Mix Delphinium (I'm not sure about the name Round Table Mix. I think the tags got mixed up)

You have a beautiful garden Jane Marie! The flowers on your second Asiatic Lily are so abundant that you can hardly see the foliage! I love delphiniums as well.
Oooh! I love those red Asiatic lilies!
I'd say your thumb must be a lovely shade of green Jane Marie. Everything looks exceptional. I really like that quote!
The lilies are lovely. I think that quote hit the nail on the head. We just don't give up, do we?
Those are some stunning lilies! It's ironic that you should write about this today, because I was just looking at my very crowded front flowerbed and thinking, should I show this on my blog? One thing I've learned from reading gardening blogs is that we have all made mistakes and that no garden is "perfect," if there is such a thing.
it's looking beautiful, and very patriotic in the red white and blue!
Love the delphiuniums, such a pretty blue.

And this is why I keep trying-despite a yard of clay and weeds almost as determined as me! I think I've made so many mistakes that if I learn from them, I'll be a green thumb genius! Haha!
Glorioue lillies! Mine have not bloomed yet only the sumptuous Peonies!! Two posts full!
Now I'll look at your SKF as I am a newby joining in 2 wks ago! :)NG
Everything is looking so beautiful Jane Marie!
