A Big Green Leaf

I'm taking part in the first Big Green Leaf post. Emma at Independent has started this for June 30th to spotlight our foliage plants. Great Idea! Here's a slide show of what I found in my yard.

You'll see fern, vinca (mytle), Virginia creeper, Siberian iris, elephant ear hosta, Michigan holly (also know as American Winterberry)

I like the way the water beads on the elephant ear hosta. Do the leaves get extra large for a hosta as the name suggests?

Great texture I particularly like the hosta

It's been fun looking at all the "green" posts. I've been surprised by all the different plants that people have shown.
Good luck with your new blog! I have trouble keeping up with writing one:)

Very nice slide show, Jane Marie... so different from the greenery down here in the south...which is what I really enjoyed about your photos.
