I had to laugh! I heard a splash and looked up just in time to see this frog jump from the pond onto the peony blossom that was near the edge of the water. There looked like there was a struggle of some kind going on; he hung on for a while, dropped to the ground, then he took a few hops to this rock.

I assume there was a tasty morsel attached to the petal. He sat there for at least a half an hour with it dangling from his mouth. Did he realize I was having a good laugh at his expense?

Here's the peony that sacrificed some of it's pretty pink blossom.

This little fellow was hanging onto the side of the pond and was calmly watching me click away with my camera. I guess the frogs think I'm a rather strange thing, too. Do they laugh at me when I'm not around? What kind of gossip goes on in Serendipity Pond where they eat peonies with tasty morsels attached for dinner?

Hi there,
Stuart put a post on News yesterday, refering to the fact that all people who are using Blogger arent appearing except those who were using Feedburner for their feed to Blotanical. He suggested a way to change the problem would be to change the feed, details are here http://www.blotanical.com/news/
I followed the advise. It has had some effect, myBlogs is now up to date and showing my current posts, and the thumbnail has been updated too, in te My Plot section, but so far, they havent been listed. I think this may be because they have to be manually approved and updated before they can appear by Stuart. So I'll give it a couple of days and see.
Hope that helps?
Love that froggy, he is almost metallic, although I wouldn't be so happy if he started eating my flowers; usually depend on frogs and toads to eat the slugs and snails that devastate them, not join forces with them!
I got dizzy just looking at the crane ... cant imagine working that high!
I am in love with your frog Jane Marie .. does he/she sing at night ? ... that would put me over the moon with happiness to hear frog song. I'm sure they only have nice things to say about you when they all get together for a cuppa'
So don't worry .. they appreciate you .. your pond and the peonies !
I haven't switched to that other feed burner thing .. my brain is burnt out as it is ? LOL

Hi thanks for visiting. What a funny picture. If we're observant it always seems that wildlife produces endless entertainment. I can't wait until we decide to install a pond of some kind although attracting frogs may be a challenge for our site.
This is such a cute post! The little frog with the petal in his mouth made me smile. Isn't it great to be entertained by such simple things in life?!
That's pretty funny.
We've actually seen our frog eat birds.
It IS funny. Just the laugh I needed while sitting a minute in between cleaning and cooking before the start of Shabbat.
Thanks for your frog adventure.
